Whether it is the policy to ensure all the people enjoy their rights to education, employment, medical and old-age care, and housing in one’s whole life or the bonus including reducing tax, pursuing the Cut Certification, enabling cell phone subscribers to keep their numbers while switching carriers, speeding up broadband and lower internet rates, continuing preferential policies on the purchase of new-energy vehicles, making overdue payments to enterprises, guaranteeing water supply, it is written in the government work report delivered by Premier Li Keqiang on March, 5th. It shows the firm determination and of the Party and the country in the new era to resolve the principal Contradictions of Society and create a better life for the people.
In 2018, China's GDP exceeded 90 trillion yuan for the first time, and its total economic output ranked second in the world. At the same time, China continued to maintain its position as the world's largest manufacturing country and trading country, and its national competitiveness was growing. Optimistically speaking, if China's economy maintains a steady growth rate of about 6%, it is expected to cross the middle-income trap and enter the ranks of developed countries around 2022. However, while the macro-economy continues to improve, there are still a large number of imbalances and inadequate factors in the economic and social development, which hinder the people's pursuit of a better life. If these insufficient factors cannot eliminate, it is hard for people to have sense of happiness and belonging, which is not the purpose for the achievement in the development of national economic.
Therefore, Premier Li Keqiang's government work report is not limited to the macro-policy and the top-level design of reform and opening-up, but also focuses on the implementation of the concerns of living standards, which embodies the ruling concept and fundamental purpose of our party and country, which is people-centered and wholeheartedly serving the people. The people's yearning for and pursuit of a better life must be realized together with the prosperity and prosperity of the country.
