In the afternoon of October 20, 2017, the 2016 EMBA Class visited Wuhan Boiler Company Limited. This visit was a part of Professor Wang Haisu’s course---Strategy Management. Professor Wang also went to the company.

During the visit, Chen Chaoming, general manager of Wuhan Boiler, made a speech to the students, introducing the company’s merger and acquisition, product development, quality management, cross-cultural communication and its development planning. The students were very interested in the company’s “transnational marriage” with General Electric Company and asked many questions about its internationalization strategy. Mr. Chen answered these questions very patiently.

In the end of the visit, Professor Wang made a summary about this visit and expressed his gratitude to Mr. Chen.

This visit gave students an opportunity to understand a company from the perspective of strategy management. Furthermore, it also enhanced the school-enterprise cooperation, which will play a very important role in the cultivation of application-oriented and comprehensive talents.
