In the morning of December 5, students of the 2018 MBA class visited New Oriental Education & Technology Group (Wuhan Campus) and got warm welcome. During the visit, a school-enterprise cooperation contract was signed between School of Business Administration and New Oriental.

KONG Jianlong, assistant vice president of New Oriental and president of Wuhan Campus, showed the visitors around the New Oriental Building. He said: “All of our departments, including the HR department, finance department and administration department, are located in this single building, which improves our working efficiency and reduces our communication cost. We are planning to bring in some entrepreneur programs launched by college students and build an incubator.” The students were showed around the Teaching Quality Control and Data Acquisition Center. Using internet, monitoring devices and AI technology, the Center can be used to collect and analyze data about teaching process, which is very helpful in improving teaching quality.

Mr. KONG said that he expected to see more MBA graduates in New Oriental and that New Oriental could become a useful platform for MBA interns. “Today is just a start. We sincerely invite you to New Oriental and hope that you could contribute to the cooperation between us,” said Mr. KONG.

Professor QIAN Xuefeng, Dean of School of Business Administration and Director of MBA Education Center, made a speech. He said that School of Business Administration had cultivated and provided many qualified talents for society, such as DING Xuedong (Deputy Secretary-General of the State Council), LI Jinzao (Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism), ZHU Jiusheng (President of Vanke Company), LIANG Yunchao (Chairman of By-Health), DONG Mingzhu (Chairwoman of Gree Electric), CHE Jianxin (Chairman of Red Star Macalline Group) and so on. According to Professor QIAN, the School had already established partnership with enterprises and local government to fulfill its social responsibility. For example, in 2017, Wuhan Municipal Government and the School jointly established the “Outstanding Business School” to provide training and education for senior management personnel. Professor QIAN said: “Our MBA education is featured by the integration of economics, finance and law. We are confident that our MBA education will have a bright future. New Oriental offers a good opportunity for our students to experience business operation and management. This is an excellent platform. We hope that we can have deeper and wider cooperation in the future.”

LI Bin, Vice President of Wuhan Campus, also made a speech. He firstly introduced the corporate value and strategy of New Oriental. Then he talked about New Oriental’s scope of business. After the speech, Professor WEN Hao, Vice Dean of School of Business Administration and Vice Director of MBA Education Center, expressed his gratitude for New Oriental. Professor WEN believed that the School and New Oriental shared the same idea about life-long education and social responsibility, so that “the cooperation between us could become successful and benefit both of us”.
