Mr. YI Xuejun gave a lecture on “Development tendency and brand innovation of ‘big agriculture’ under the influence of big capital empowerment” in Room 201 of Wenjin Building on December 15. Starting from the Rural Revitalization Strategy and the Targeted Poverty Alleviation Strategy, the lecture focused on the tendency and opportunities in the development of “big agriculture” and brand innovation strategy of agriculture in the Internet era. The lecture attracted many MBA students, alumni and teachers. Mr. YIN first introduced the development process of an industry: because of the pursuit of profit, large demand will lead to great accumulation of capital; accumulation of capital will lead to the emergence of big industry; development of industry will lead to the making of national policies, which will further promote the development of industry. In his analysis, he also presented many examples to support his opinion.
Mr. YIN also talked about source of supply, supply chain, brand building in detail. He said, “Good channels are always there, but strong brands and strong supply chains are not enough. So the future retailing industry needs to be empowered, which means supporting retailing with high-quality products, strong brand and strong supply chain.” He added, “This is a good opportunity for the building of agricultural brand in China. However, there will be fierce competition of brand naming, talented people, sources and market.” He ended his lecture with “rural revitalization needs the revitalization of agricultural industry, and agricultural industry needs brand revitalization”.
In the end, Professor WEN expressed again his gratitude for Mr. YIN. And he expected that, through this lecture, the students could learn how to use theoretical knowledge to guide business practice and how to sum up theories from practices.
