On December 16, students of the 2018 MBA Class finished their outward-bound course---Teamwork and Leadership Program. The program lasted for two days and was carried out in Tianzihu Training Site located in Xiaogan City.

They arrived at the training site in the morning of December 15. After their arrival, they were randomly divided into four teams through the activity called “Team Building”. In the afternoon, a series of activities were offered to build mutual trust and teamwork abilities. These activities require high cooperative and executive ability. A single error made by one member will make the whole team unable to finish the activity. Through numerous trials, frequent communication and summary, all teams finished their job within the time limit. In the evening, an activity called “message passing” was held. This activity required all the members of a team stand one after another, and that a number be passed from the member in the back to the one in the front. This activity was very helpful in improving students communication skills and mutual trust. After this activity, every team picked a representative to share their feelings, which made them gain a better understanding of this activity.

In the morning of December 16, the last activity, which was called “city building”, was held. In this activity, each team shall build a “theme city”. There were four themes: innovation, dream, future, and friendship. Each team got one theme and was asked to build their “city” accordingly. With cooperation and great efforts, all of the four teams finished their task within the time limit and built beautiful cities. Through this activity, students’ imagination, innovation ability and designing ability were presented and improved.

The two-day program provided a good opportunity for the students to make new friends and improve their communicative and executive ability, which will be very useful and precious for them in their study and career.
