On March 21st, Liu Jing, MBA student of MBA School and IBM Global Delivery Center Project Manager, was invited to the 9th Zhongnan Sharing of MBA School. She shared her own experience with the audience. Combining the knowledge characteristics of her own career, she also introduced IT industry: what is IT industry doing, what is it researching and what will it do in the future?
To most of the students who were attending the Sharing, what Liu Jing introduced was something new and fresh. Before the Sharing, they just heard about such IT terms as Cloud Computing and Singularity. However, during the Sharing, these terms became alive and easy to understand through the analysis of Liu. At first, Liu showed us a short video which displayed the development of IT in the last 100 years. Then she used ABC (analytics, big data, and cloud) to link the IT terms together and made a vivid introduction.
Talking about the future development of technology, Liu said that there would be four main aspects: Internet, sensor, computer and deep learning.
MBA education should lay stress on the cultivation of students’ comprehensive qualities. Therefore, a sharing about IT, instead of economics, management and law, would greatly diverse the students’ horizon and make it easier for them to understand the current world. IT is on the road. As a result, both the life and the world are changing. Therefore, anyone who is dedicated or related to MBA shall change his or her mind with IT.
