Lou Yongliang, born in January 1954, Dongyang of Zhejiang province. He is the CEO and the president of Zhongtian Group. Since 1993, Lou, as the general manager at that that, always follow a company philosophy of putting staff first; expanding market, emphasizing management and innovation, which make the Group the top 500 companies in China. Besides leading his group to pursue a sound and sustainable path, he and his group also involved themselves in the public welfare establishments. In 2007, he was honored “Annual Economic Figure” of Zhejiang province. While in 2014, he was awarded for outstanding devotion on careers.

    Zhang Ailing, a 17-year old student who has just been admitted by Qilu Institute of Technology. Zhang said:”My family is very poor, that I cannot afford the tuitions, I planned to apply for tuitions loan program for poor college or university students. But now with the relief fund of 5000 RMB that Zhongtian offered this August, my tuition of the first term has settled, which reduces the pressure of my family, I am very thankful”. In fact there are 100 students that have received the relief fund. Starting from last year, the group decided to provide the fixed donation of 500 thousand RMB; while this year, the Group help 65 would-be top university destitute students.

    Zhongtian Construction Group Co., Ltd (for short Zhongtian Group), the top 500 enterprises in China, founded in 1999 by AAB International Group Limited in Hongkong. The Group set foot in many fields, including real estate, transportation, bridges and so on. Their group culture is “sustainable development with strong social responsibility”. It participates in all kinds of public service activities and charity activities initiated by the local governments, accordingly the Group has set up many awards and fund for helping the poor, sponsoring sports events. In Lou’s opinions, charity does not simply mean donation. The meaning of funding people is not only about talents cultivation, but also about passing love and care to the people who need help. Since 2002, the students that the Group has subsidized have reached more than 10 thousands. Now those graduated students have become the talents that the social need. In 2007, the Group initiated a cooperative programme with Qianjiang Evening News, 1247 students have been funded by this programme during the 6 years. In 2013, 20% of those students continue to receiving the fund during their 4-year university life. Zhong Xuquan, he is among the first batch of students that received the fund from the programme, have found a good job after been admitted by Jilin University, a “985” project university in China. He also said that “The programme gave me love and warmth, I’m always thankful to those people who helped me, once I have the chance, I will also help others.” Apart from funding people, more than 10 Hope Primary School have been build up for improving the educational condition for the underdeveloped and poverty-stricken areas. Besides, the Group has set up many charitable foundations which provide funds to many colleges and universities including Wuhan University, Inner Mongolia University of Technology. Furthermore, in 2008 the Group helped the people from nine poor counties by paving up the new cement road, setting up the water supply plants, launching green vegetable programme and so on. Now the average income of those people has increased from the original 1700 RMB to the highest 8000 RMBA. Their counties have become the county with well-off level.

Many a little make a mickle

    In Lou’s opinion, charitable activities and corporate development stand side by side. Lou’s opinions have influenced many people of the Group. In 10^th February, 2011, the Group has initiated a team of volunteers. Its primary task is to improve urban and rural development, community development, help and support the poor, provide voluntary work to those large-scale social activities. In 12^th May, 2008, a great earthquake has hit Wenchuan, Beichuan of Sichuan province. All of a sudden, thousands of houses collapsed, many people has been buried. In 19^th May, 23958 employees of the Group have raised 8.33 million RMB. Until 21^st May, the Group has donated more than 11 million RMB. The Group people have strong sense of social responsibility, they were honored “Special Award for Earthquake Relief Work”.  Zhao Hejiang, the party secretary of the Group launched a programme of “love library” which donated 100 libraries to the mountainous areas of southern Shanxi province. In 2012, the team of volunteers has offered their assistance to 75 large and medium size activities, donated more than 5.5 million RMB, and sponsored 624 students; while in 2013, the team has sponsored 921 students and the donation has reached 18 million RMB.  

Do good, Care for all  

    The Group also initiated a charitable programme for the pregnant. In 25^th May, on behalf of the Group, Lou donated 10 million RMB to the Red Cross Society to alleviate the economic burden of the pregnant from the poor family. In 2013, the programme has help 427 families in less than a year.

The Group and their people have shown their strong social responsibilities and helped hundreds of thousands people. And they are not going to stop. In 2014, the Group will set up a private foundation---Zhongtian Love Philanthropic Foundation. The warmth of the charity activity will pass on to those who are in need with more transparency and high efficiency.
