On August 11^th, 2013, the first Southern Forum of ZUEL is grandly held in the conference hall of Guangzhou Soluxe Hotel, a five-star hotel. Nearly 800 guests, doubling the planned number, attend the Forum. This Forum is sponsored by Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, undertook by MBA School of ZUEL, and co-sponsored by Guangzhou Zhonglanhui Investment Management Co., Ltd., an enterprise established by Guangzhou alumni, and Guizhou Tea Co., Ltd. Mr. Maozhong Ye, a famous expert on marketing planning and brand management, attends the Forum as guest speaker. Others who attend the Forum include MBA School’s alumni from southern China, EMBA alumni, alumni from Guangzhou Alumni Association, VIPs of several banks from southern China and major leaders of Guangdong culture-promoting association.

Professor Xiaojun Chen, vice president of ZUEL, makes a welcome speech. Professor Lijun Hu, dean of MBA School, introduces the status quo, teaching achievements and characteristics of MBA School.

This Forum is proved to be a great success. And it wins a large outpouring of favorable comments. The success relies on the great support of university leaders and MBA School and the careful organization and planning of Guangzhou Alumni Association and the alumni enterprise. Several innovative methods are employed in this Forum: 1) expanding ZUEL’s influence on the society through this Forum; 2) being organized jointly by the School and enterprise with the support of alumni association; 3) strengthening transverse association to improve the level of the activity and to break through the regional limitation; and 4) improving the relationship between the alumni through this activity.

Professor Lijun Hu says that the success of this Forum indicates a bright future of this kind of activities, and that MBA School will expand its MBA/EMBA enrollment rate to improve the brand value of ZUEL and MBA School.
