ZUEL Team Join Final China MBA Entrepreneurshhip Competition

On June 23, the Eastern-division Final of 2013 (the 11th) China MBA Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. The ZUEL team which took part in the Eastern-division Final with the program of “e+ self-catering hotel chain across the country” advanced to the National Grand-Final. The National Grand-Final was held in Shanghai Shanghai Jiao Tong University on July 13th and July 14th.
This Competition started from March this year. It is a competition opened to MBA students and MBA graduates of the last five years of the business colleges from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and China Mainland. The Grand Final went on for two days. The first day was about the “Start-up Bootcamp” and capital connection. During the capital connection, the ZUEL team drew attention from several investors, including New Access Capital. These investors gave objective comments and suggestions to ZUEL team.
The second day was about program presentation. The programs in the Grand Final covered various fields, such as cultural industry, caring about the elder and e-business. ZUEL’s program of “e+ self-catering hotel chain across the country” drew great attention from both the audience and judges.
The ZUEL team benefited a lot from the Grand Final. It presented the elegant performance of ZUEL’s MBA students to the audience across the country, received helpful guidance from the judges, and obtained useful experience and networking resources.
The China MBA Entrepreneurship Competition has been held since 2002. It is aimed at establishing a comprehensive platform for the students to start up business and develop their career. As a nation-wide competition, it is organized in three stages: competition within the campus, division finals and the National Grand-Final. There are four divisions for the mass-election of this Competition—the Northern Division, the Southern Division, the Eastern Division and the Division of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The four divisions are respectively held by Tianjin University, Sun Yat-sen University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. There are altogether more than 100 teams that sign up for this Competition. At last, 13 of these teams advance to the National Grand-Final. They are from 13 different universities— Xi’an Jiao Tong University, Nankai University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Tianjin University from the Northern Division; Yunnan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies from the Southern Division; Xiamen University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and Tongji University from the Eastern Division; and Shanghai Jiao Tong University which forms a division itself.
