Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) plays an increasingly important role in supporting national innovation and restructuring economy. Intellectual property problems revealed in the process of corporation listing and information disclosure have attracted more and more attention in the academic field. Recently, Blue Paper of the Intangible Assets of China’s Listed Companies on GEM (the Blue Paper) has been published. The chief editor of the Blue Paper includes Professor Haisu Wang from Centre for Corporation Value Research of ZUEL MBA School. The Blue Paper paves a new way for GEM corporation and market research through analyzing the status quo of intangible assets.
Samples of the Blue Paper are the 218 corporations listed on GEM from October, 2009 to May 18th, 2011. The Blue Paper carries out a thorough analysis of the status quo of intangible assets and information disclosure from various aspects, such as intellectual property, trademark right, copyright and technical standard. Professor Haisu Wang said firmly to the reporters of China Intellectual Property News: “we hope that our work can make the information disclosure of intellectual property in GEM more standard and normative. Otherwise, it will be very difficult for investors to evaluate corporation value.”
