On July 20th, according to the schedule of Hong Kong Baptist University, students of “3S” full-time MBA class visited the Bright Smart Securities International (H.K.) Limited. The students were received by Mr. Sizhi Guo, an experienced stock analyst of Hong Kong and present Marketing Director of Bright Smart Securities. Mr. Guo introduced and analyzed the stock market of the Mainland. Through his introduction and analysis, the students experienced the operating atmosphere of the securities industry and learned more about Hong Kong securities industry’s opinions about Mainland’s stock market. All the students, especially those who are majored in securities investment, said that they had learnt a lot from Mr. Guo.
The ten-day study tour started from July 15th, 2012. On that day, the 18 members of ZUEL’s “3S” (soldier, student, staff) full-time MBA class arrived at Kowloon, Hong Kong.The study tour to Hong Kong is the most characterized part of “3S” full-time MBA programme. During the tour, the students attended all the preset activities including seminars on Chinese Wisdom and Modern Management by Hongji Peng (Chairman of the Society of Chinese Wisdom & Management), Marketing Strategy by Baoguang Wu (Chief Advisor of Advance Management Consultants Limited), Is China’s Downward Economy a Long-term or Short-term Inflection Point by Qiping Shi (critic of Phoenix TV), Globalization by Dr. Chengxiao He (Special Consultant on MBA courses of Hong Kong Baptist University), Experience and Prospects of Hong Kong’s Financial System Development by Daren Shang (former Executive Director of HSBC Broking Services Limited), and visits to Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, German Pool Co., Ltd., DFS Galleria, Bright Smart Securities International (H.K.) Limited and Independent Commission Against Corruption. Through active observation and communication with the local teachers, students, entrepreneurs and administrative officials, the students developed further their understanding of Chinese & foreign management contexts, business models, and global operations, accordingly strengthened their skills of applying managerial theories to the real business world.
