Professor Jun Zhou won the Lifelong Achievement Award

Wenlan News (Reporter: Li Pei, Xie Rui Photographer: Xu Zhichi) On April 21, ZUEL observed the grand opening of the awarding ceremony of “Lifelong Achievement Award of China’s Financial Discipline 2012” and the development forum of China’s financial discipline. Professor Jun Zhou from School of Finance, ZUEL, won the Award. Attendees included Hongru Liu (honorary chairman of Hongru Liu Financial Education Foundation, the first chairman of China Securities Regulatory Commission), Professor Da Huang (the first winner of the Lifelong Achievement Award of China’s Financial Discipline, former president of Renmin University of China), Bin Zhao (Vice Governor of Hubei Province), Professor Jun Zhou (winner of the Lifelong Achievement Award of China’s Financial Discipline 2012), Professor Zhonghua Zhang (Secretary of ZUEL Party Committee), Professor Xiliang Liu (Assistant to the President of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Director of China Financial Research Centre) Zhiping Zhang (Administrative Vice Chairman of Hongru Liu Financial Education Foundation), Ye Yang (Director of the Award Organizing Committee of Hongru Liu Financial Education Foundation), and Haibo Chen (Deputy Director of Hainan Provincial Standing Committee of NPC). Canming Yang, Vice President of ZUEL, presided over the ceremony.
The Lifelong Achievement Award of China’s Financial Discipline was set up by Hongru Liu Financial Education Foundation, aimed at facilitating the establishment of China’s financial discipline, carrying forward the contribution made by excellent academic pacemakers, promoting the development of financial research and education, and cultivating talents for China’s financial reform, innovation and development. Those who are nominated for the Award should be the excellent scholars who are engaged in financial teaching and research for a long time, and who have made great contribution to the establishment of China’s financial discipline. It is awarded annually to one or two persons, with each getting RMB 1,000,000. The first winner was Professor Huang Da, the second winners were Jiaguan Hong (researcher of People’s Bank of China) and professor Chuanlun Wang (professor of Renmin University of China), the winners this year are professor Jun Zhou and professor Jiken Lin from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
