International Enterprise Education Research Center of University of Kansas Cooperated with ZUEL MBA School on Project “Comparative Research on Automobile Industries of China and the United States ”
On May 6th, the first stage of “Comparative Research on Automobile Industries of China and the United States” Project, hosted mutually by International Enterprise Education Research Center of University of Kansas and we MBA School, passed off successfully. It began with Dean Professor Haisu Wang’s visit to the University of Kansas between March 26th and April 17th, when he delivered lectures on Reform of China’s Automobile Industry and SOEs there. Then on April 22nd a research team from the University of Kansas, consisting of 15 MBA students and led by Professor Dennis F. Karney, started thorough investigation on China’s automobile industry with the accompany of our MBA students and teachers. They inspected vehicle and accessory manufacturers in Beijing, Wuhan and Shanghai, visited and discussed with senior management & experts of China’s top universities and enterprises including Tsinghua University, Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co., Ltd., etc. When the above activities ended, the team members had acquired both perceptual and rational knowledge about the status quo, features, difference, development trends and so forth of China and the United States’ automobile industries.
Through the cooperative investigation, students and teachers of both parties have not only developed their understanding of each other and each country, but also established a deep friendship. In the following two stages, the two parties will go on collaboration to accomplish both preliminary and solidified research reports.
