Premier Li Keqiang said in this year’s Government Report that popular entrepreneurship and innovation are the requirements of reform and history and that they are the new engine of China’s economic development. In this new environment, entrepreneurship education and practices are embracing both opportunities and challenges. ZUEL MBA School has adhered to taking entrepreneurship education and practices as the focus of talents cultivation. Therefore, MBA School has continuously promoted the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education from four aspects: entrepreneurship courses, entrepreneurship training camps, entrepreneurship competitions, and entrepreneurship incubation. At present, MBA School has established a sound system to promote entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship has become popular among students. And many of their entrepreneurship practices turn out to be successful.
Entrepreneurship education goes first
Basic theories and good personal qualities are the prerequisites of entrepreneurship practices. According to the features and requirements of entrepreneurship education, MBA School has set the Teaching and Research Section of Entrepreneurship Education. The Section is responsible for compiling textbooks and offering courses. Such courses as Entrepreneurship Management, Innovation Management, Strategy Management and Investment and Financing of Entrepreneurship have been offered and included to the routine teaching system.
Meanwhile, MBA School has continuously brought forth new ideas to its teaching methods in its entrepreneurship education, making it more practical and more effective. For example, in Entrepreneurship Management, the experiential teaching method is employed. This method includes three parts: scene simulation and role paly, debate and writing of entrepreneurship plan.
Furthermore, using such methods as simulation teaching, case study, module teaching and discussion, MBA School tries to provide a real operation environment for students for the purpose of applying theories into practice. For example, the course assessment method of Marketing Management takes the form of group marketing research and report.
The students benefit a lot from these entrepreneurship courses which combine theories with practices.
Tri-supervisor system is established
In order to meet the need of talents cultivation, MBA School has established a tri-supervisor system, which includes a study supervisor, a thesis supervisor and an entrepreneurship supervisor.
The study supervisor is responsible for students’ study of professional knowledge and the cultivation of students’ professional capacity. The thesis supervisor is responsible for students’ graduation theses, and for helping students understand the relationship between theories and practical cases. The entrepreneurship supervisor, which is the feature of MBA School, is responsible for offering advices about students’ career. Both senior teachers on campus and entrepreneurs can be entrepreneurship supervisors.
Platforms are set up to boost entrepreneurship
In order to boost entrepreneurship, MBA School has set up a series of platforms, such as entrepreneurship competitions, entrepreneurship salons and the Entrepreneurship Café.
The Entrepreneurship Café
The Entrepreneurship Café was established in 2010 for the purpose of creating a better entrepreneurship environment.
The Café will regularly organize entrepreneurship salons. Enterprise senior executives, alumni, senior professors, MBA Students and entrepreneurship teams form society will be invited to attend these salons.
The Café also play the role of incubation in the industry chain of entrepreneurship. In 2015, four entrepreneurship programs of the students have been successfully launched through the Café.
Communication about entrepreneurship practices
In May, 2015, the MBA School Entrepreneurship Practice Base was set up. The Base is a larger platform for students, and it will provide students with financial and program support.
Furthermore, the “mobile classroom mode” has been introduced by MBA School. This mode will provide the students with more practice and communication opportunities through allowing students to visit enterprises.
Entrepreneurship and case competitions
In order to create a better entrepreneurship environment, MBA School will organize entrepreneurship and case competitions each year. The Case Competition has been organized for eight continuous years since 2007, making it one of the most classic competitions of MBA School.
Entrepreneurship practices become popular
As a result of the above-mentioned efforts, entrepreneurship practices have become very popular among students.
In 2012, Zhizhong Nengdao Investment Management Co., Ltd was established in Dongguan through the financing of 33 MBA students.
Also in 2012, Zhan Xiju set up the Wuhan Zhongzheng Wantong Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd.
In 2013, Wang Fuye set up Wuhan Crowd-financing Entrepreneurship Consultation Co., Ltd, the first crow-financing service company in Wuhan.
In 2014, Tan Xinjie gave up high salaries and joined the Qianyi Agricultural Entrepreneurship Team.
In January, 2015, She Youyuan was named one of the “Top Ten Entrepreneurship Figures of Hubei Province”.
In June, 2015, the Flying Club of ZUEL MBA School was established.
In July 2015, MBA Student Zhang Hao established a health club.

Up to 2015, more than 50 companies have been set up by MBA students, coving various areas like trade, Internet, finance and culture transmission.
