The 5th International Forum on New Development of Valuation was successfully held in ZUEL from December 5th to 6th in 2015. The Forum was hosted and organized by ZUEL under the support of China Appraisal Society (CAS), American Society of Appraisers (ASA), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor (RICS), International Association of Consultant, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA), Xiamen University Valuation Research Center (XMUVRC) and School of Public Finance and Taxation of Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB). The theme of the Forum was “valuation, financial development and economic transition”. And the purpose was to explore the latest development of valuation and to promote international communication in this field. Over 100 experts and scholars from the U.S., Japan, China Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries or regions attended the Forum.
Yao Li, Vice President of ZUEL, presented an opening speech in which she expressed welcome and gratitude for the attendees. Shao Ronghua, Secretary General of CAS, presented a speech in which she stressed the importance and market value of valuation industry.
Roger J. Grabowski (experts of ASA), William Hanlin (Chairman of IACVA), and other experts presented their keynote speeches, covering topics like assets valuation and the development of real estate finance, assets valuation and capitalization of intangible assets, Internet big data and corporate valuation, mergers & acquisition and valuation.
Professor Wang Haisu, director of ZUEL Corporate Value Research Center, released the research result of his team — Information Disclosure Index and Quality Index of Listed Companies on GEM, the first comprehensive assessment index developed by the research organization of an independent third-party university to reflect information quality and competitiveness of intangible assets of listed companies on GEM.
