The First China Management Cases Academic Annual Conference is successfully held in Xi’an, the Chinese ancient Captain, hosted by China Association of Management Cases, China Management Case-Sharing Center (CMCC) and School of Economics and Law of XI’AN Technological University. More than 500 participants from 157 home and abroad renowned universities have attended the Conference. LIANG Xia, and LU Yun the assistant research fellows of Case Management Research Center of MBA School, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law are invited to attend the conference.

    On the opening ceremony, professor LIU Weiguo, also the vice-president of XI’AN Technological University extend his warm welcome to the attendees. Furthermore, professor TONG Yunheng, ZHAO Shuming and SU Jinqin give speeches and express their expectations on the ceremony.

    In the afternoon of 23^rd and 24^th April, professor WEI Jiang from School of Management, Zhejiang University, professor JING Runtian from School of Management of Shanghai Jiaotong University, professor TIAN Zhilong from the School of Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, associate professor LI Sali from University of South California and professor ZHOU Changhui from Guanghua Management School of Peking University give the keynote speeches in the conference. Professor WEI Jiang focuses on the Strategic guidance of the Chinese overseas subsidiaries. Professor ZHOU focuses on the overseas merger cases of Chinese Machine Tool Plants. Besides the keynote speeches, the host also arranges parts for Critiques and Q&A.

    In the afternoon of 23^rd, April, four sessions have been held for the attendees on “the analysis on the international strategy for Chinese enterprises”, “the independent innovation on Chinese enterprises”, “the exchanges on the researches and pedagogy of case teaching  ”and “review on case researches results by doctorate candidates”.

    There are more than 160 papers submitted from 63 universities, including 73 case papers, 6 papers focuses on research methods, and 81 papers on case teaching. In order to guarantee the quality of the papers. The host invites 72 experts to review all the submitted papers. In the end, 115 papers was collected. In the closing ceremony, professor ZHOU simply introduces the strict evaluation process, standards for the excellent case papers. Finally two papers are awarded. This annual conference has set up a platform to exchange experience from each other, and it is favorable to improve the development of Chinese management cases.
